Real-venture enterprise training is after-school learning where a child runs an actual business: they find a real problem, build a real product with modern tools, sell it to a real customer for real money in Rands, and then review the result. The evidence of learning is the venture and its revenue, not a worksheet, a kit or a certificate.

Coding club or entrepreneurship club?
A coding club teaches a child to build software. An entrepreneurship club teaches a child to find a problem worth solving, build something for it and sell it. Coding is the narrower, deeper skill; enterprise is the broader capability that decides whether any skill gets used. For Grades 6 to 9, enterprise usually transfers further.

A real venture teaches the same persistence in an open problem where nobody knows the answer and a customer decides whether the work was any good. Robotics builds precision; ventures build judgement, pricing and resilience.

When we are not the answer
Sometimes another option is the better fit.
- Choose a coding or robotics club
- If your child already knows they want deep technical depth in one language, framework or hardware platform, a specialist club will go deeper on that skill than we will.
- Choose tutoring
- If marks in a specific subject are the immediate problem, fix that first. We are an extra mural, not academic remediation.
- Choose a general STEM programme
- For younger children, below roughly Grade 5, structured foundational science and technology is a better starting point. Our programme assumes Grade 6 to 9 readiness for real customers and real money.
- Wait a year
- If your child is not yet willing to talk to a stranger about something they made, the programme will be uncomfortable rather than formative. That readiness usually arrives around Grade 6 or 7.

- A coding club is better for deep specialisation in one technical skill. An entrepreneurship club is better for transferable capability, because AI-assisted development has made writing code cheaper while judgement about what to build, for whom and at what price has become more valuable.
- Does a STEM club help my child get a job later?
- Foundational STEM literacy helps, but global employer surveys now rank analytical thinking, resilience, flexibility and creativity above specific technical knowledge. Those capabilities only appear when a child works on something with real consequences, which is why we run real ventures rather than exercises.
- What does an after-school enterprise club cost in South Africa?

- Is AI safe for an 11-year-old to use in a programme like this?
- In our programme, yes: AI use is mentor-supervised, learners are taught to think before reaching for a tool, and nothing is published publicly without review. Parents have full visibility of the venture and every transaction in the learner Wallet.
- When is another after-school option the better choice?
- Choose a coding or robotics club for deep technical specialisation, tutoring if marks in a specific subject are the immediate problem, and a general STEM programme for children below roughly Grade 5. We are built for Grades 6 to 9 learners ready to face real customers and real money.
